We had a fabulous time on our annual St. Augustine trip with Mamark and PopPop. Caroline was afraid of the pool and the ocean when we arrived - imagine that! Last year she was a water baby, but this year it took a little time. By the end of the week she was "jumping" off the side of the pool to Daddy and splashing in the tide pools.
Caroline loved picking up handfuls of sand and giving them to Mamark, chasing PopPop's "gul-friends" around the beach and playing with her little water toys.
We had a couple of sleepless (not even exaggerating) nights and Justin and I have come to the conclusion that we cannot share a room with the bug. Twice she woke up early - by early I mean 1:00 am - and stayed up ALL night. We don't know if it was us sharing a room or just the unfamiliar living space, but we were all exhausted! I know this is something she will grow out of... hopefully long before next year!
It was good to get to see the North Carolina Smothers. We sure do wish we could see them more often.
