Five Months (a long over-due post)

*** Side note: I wrote this three weeks ago and never had time to post. Actually, it takes FOREVER to upload the pictures. That’s why. So, at almost six months, we are filling you in on month five! ***

What happened in month five? Where to begin?!

Talking, Talking, Talking! Mostly “blah blah blah blah blah” now, with a few “la la la’s” and other noises. Caroline wakes us every morning around 5am just babbling away.

Eating baby food. Carrots, squash, green beans, sweet peas… she loves her veggies. And her fruit – she’s still loving to suck the juice out of watermelon and cantaloupe. I was surprised that she didn’t like smashed bananas. She’s got the spoon thing down now and opens her mouth for a bite! She’s also started rocking back and forth when sitting up to eat – not sure if she’s excited about dinner or has learned a new trick!

Little C’s a pro at tummy time now. She love to play airplane (but not right after a bottle).

And now she’s rolling over from her back to her tummy… occasionally rolling to her back again.

We’ve had lots and lots of family time too. An amazing first trip to the beach – St. Augustine with the Smothers family. Caroline got to spend time with her Mamark, Pop Pop and Aunt Lee; and got to meet some of her extended family from North Carolina. Aunt Lala made a trip through to visit. Then, the epic trip to Bonita Springs to meet her Great Grand-Uncle Don and Great Grand-Aunt Jeanie… less than 24 hours later we zipped over to Miami to meet her Great Grandfather Poppy and all of her Aunts and Uncles and Cousins! She is quite the jet-setter and travels well (for the most part).

We had a doctor’s visit mid-July. Caroline is still in the 10th percentile at 23 inches, weighing 11 pounds 13 ounces. We are so proud of our little dab!

We have taken so many pictures. A few of the best from month 5… Pics from our vacations to follow.

Love to all!
